Why did Finding Home mysteriously appear at an OPP station?
When writing my previous book, The Medal, a police officer at that detachment was very helpful. To show my appreciation, I arranged a surprise get-together where I presented him with a copy of the novel and publicly thanked him. A local reporter was on hand to record his surprise and pleasure.
Today I received an email from him after he found a copy of Finding Home in the garage at the detachment. When nobody admitted to delivering it, he wondered if I had stopped by. I hadn’t.
Many of the officers who attended the surprise presentation years ago have retired or been transferred. How did my new novel end up in the OPP garage? It must have been left by someone who knows about our connection.
Can anyone solve this intriguing mystery?
