Yup, that’s me.  But don’t mistake me for someone who has been hired by the local university or library to offer advice and suggestions to budding writers. That’s not the case at all. it’s just that the COVID-19 pandemic has meant everyone is safer staying at home. Hence, Writer in Residence.

The self-imposed isolation has given me an unexpected opportunity to concentrate on finishing the novel that I’ve been working on for years. The 11th draft is now complete. Can you believe I’ve edited out almost 100,000 words. Mind you, Finding Home is still a hefty read at 189,000 words – but so worth it. (The title, Writer in Residence comes with a generous dose of humility! 😉)  I’m ready now to send a query to a publisher. Wish me luck.
